The most exotic food I've ever eaten

Baby octopus and duck tongue. The octopus at first tasted a little squishy and bland but with some hot sauce, it was palatable. Duck tongue was presented like those mini airline sausages and tasted a little rubbery. It was all part of a 18 course chinese wedding meal. I think, scallop is like our very own "vazhai" in terms of usability. They fry it, grill it, bake it, saute it and I heared they can also make some raw dumplings out of it. Too much sea food for my liking.

But the clincher of the evening was fried chicken. Have you seen a fully fried chicken nicely cut and seasoned? It looked like a deflated ballon that kids play with in the bath tub. Well, one might ask what about it? It's just chicken. But, the difference is the chicken was presented with it's head still on! It kind of freaked out a friend of mine, who had to be escorted to the washroom!! I am not sure, if they had the brain intact, but I think they did. It had 2 green chillies in place of the eyes, like an ornamental decoration. A very thoughtful friend of mine, covered the head with a piece of cabbage leaf, so that we can all eat in peace! The chicken was quite delicious.

And here I was expecting some kung pao chicken and mongolian beef with some lo mein,.... silly me.
